During my Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering I oriented my studies towards graphics, electronics and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). During my exchange semester in Brazil, I opted for studying game design and illustration. Furthermore, I have worked on 3D modelling and printing, music production and game development.
In recent years I have worked in the humanitarian field in various NGOs in Greece as an Arabic interpreter as well as a member of a Makerspace (‘Mikri Polis’ FabLab) aimed at supporting the refugee community and marginalised groups. Lately, as a P2P Lab affiliate, I was involved as an assistant in a series of workshops held in an intercultural makerspace in the summer of 2018 as part of the ‘Creative Europe’ programme (‘Distributed Design Market Platform’ project).
I hope that in Digital Civics I will further explore the socio-technical dynamics that reside in Makerspaces which entail collaboration, collective and adaptable design, and learning by doing.
I am also a big ‘Hip-Hop head’ interested in the underground and DIY music scene, a Gaming, VR and 3D Printing nerd and a keen traveller.

As a bachelor student, I graduated from the Marketing School of Athens University of Economics and Business. For almost a year I went off the big cities, exploring small-scale agriculture as a volunteer. This hands-on experience on rural life and farming led me to apply for the MSc “Environment and Development of Mountainous Regions” held by the National and Technical University of Athens. Before graduating and as a part of this I went on working in an urban garden (Prinzessinnengärten) of downtown Berlin with the non-profit “The Neighborhood Academy”.
In 2016-2017 I worked with P2P Lab, a research collective based in Greece, on a European Commission supported project called “PHYGITAL”; a 2-year pilot program that seeks to explore how globally designed products could change how we work, produce and consume.
I am interested in the Commons, Digital Learning and the Do-it-yourself/Do-it-ourselves movement.
I just recently started skateboarding and when I am not working I enjoy exploring the world of experimental graphic design and various forms of guerrilla art.
